Bits and Bobs, and all the Colors!

A couple weeks ago I showed you my little Flowering Snowball quilt in progress...I was experimenting with how to make the block without using the usual templates. It worked out, but my blocks were a teeny bit wonky so I had to add sashing to square them up a bit. WELL! This little top is finished and I love it! It's so imperfect, yet so lovable....with all those cheery colors and prints. I am loving this sunny little quilt in this gray month of the year. I am happy with the decision to add the sashing. Not only did it...

(Many) Quilts in Progress

Fall is here...the air is crisp and cool instead of hot and heavy with humidity. It is a time of beginnings...returning from summer vacation, school for the kids and me, and lots of quilting projects! I usually am pretty good about starting and finishing projects rather than having a whole bunch of quilts in progress, but I seem to have buried myself recently! Disclaimer: I am not a great home-machine quilter, and this is the type of quilt I usually send to a pro (because I love it and don't want to ruin it), but I decided this was small enough that I should practice...

Quilters Around the World: blog hop

I was tagged by Shirley to post as part of the Around the World Blog Hop...not sure where it started, but I guess it is my turn. I thought I would also use this post as a goal setting for the month of September: can't believe it's already September!? So, between questions I'm supposed to answer for the blog hop, I will mix pictures of my quilts in progress, and my goals for them this month. What am I working on?  It seems a million things, isn't that what everyone says? Well, I am getting ready to release a series...
