A Finished Quilt and Giveaway!

I finished my little Hula Girl quilt just in time for Sewtopia last week. I am really happy with how it turned out and really happy that I tried some new things on it. (the Hula Girl pattern is available in my pattern shop) One of my favorite things about this quilt is the quilting. For the first time, I tried spiral quilting. Surprise! a “quiet” fabric giveaway

A week or so ago I received a very fun package in the mail: a bundle of five "low volume" fabrics for the Michael Miller fabrics challenge at Sewtopia. You can see my original "hula girl" quilt Here. As you would expect from me, its a...

Work in Progress Hiccups

I love this quilt! I feel like it's okay to gush a bit because I didn't actually make it. This is variation on my modern wedding ring quilt that I designed and made for the NY Modern Quilt Guild challenge last fall. I created the design for this version and my Mom sewed it up while she was here last month. She is a master at the low volume concept, and I think this quilt has so much interest. The finished quilt will be a bit of both of us. You see, I am going to quilt and bind it...
