I've been away recently attending Quilt Market in Salt Lake City. Quilt Market is a twice-yearly gathering of wholesale venders to showcase their products and sell to the owners of quilt shops and such.
This year, I decided to go and try to give my patterns and cards out to shop owners to introduce myself and patterns, and to (hopefully!) increase my wholesale sales. I also met with some magazine editors I am hoping to do some projects with. All in all, the event is super big, super exciting, and a bit exhausting. I can only imagine how it must...
Things are crazy busy in my world right now, so let's do something just for fun: a giveaway!
I have six fat eights (9" x 21") of prints by Joel Dewberry plus a copy of my Dutch Windmill pattern.
These are prints from the collection that I used a great deal in my Eclipse quilt. I love the retro-style florals and geometrics in my favorite complimentary combo: blue and orange.
Dutch Windmill is a quick-make quilt, with instructions for three sizes. It is a great design for showing off your favorite prints. In addition to the quilt on the pattern cover, I...

Lately, I have been thinking about pre-cut fabric charm squares. What to make with them and how fun it is to get a small sampling of an entire fabric collection. I have some ideas for new quilts swirling in my mind, but it has been awhile since I really concentrated on getting some finishes, so first I am going to get this baby quilt quilted. This is the small version from my charm square quilt, Flying Kites. The pattern is available in my pattern shop and on Craftsy to download. This pattern is a great way to stretch just...
I was shocked to wake up this morning to see this scene out my window! Right away, I thought: "forget going to the gym, shoveling counts as exercise, then I can sew!"
So, I took my kids to school, came home and shoveled my driveway (feeling quite pleased with myself the entire time), and then snuggled in for a day indoors. At least until school lets out.
I am not a lover of winter. And I am certainly not thrilled to see snow in November...we usually have until around Christmas before winter gets mean. So, to warm things up, I decided...
