Today, I have instructions for making this pretty variation on my Mermaid quilt pattern. This is the same sewing and layout as the original pattern, but you get a whole new look by changing the placement of colors and prints.

I made the sample on the pattern cover with solids from RJR fabrics Cotton Supreme Solids collection. It is my first ever quilt made only with solids! Hard to believe, but I really enjoyed it. I would love to see it in prints and I think it would be really fun with light scraps in place of the navy blue and white "background".
