Pickles in Progress

I realize that my post on Sunday seemed a little schizophrenic. I really do focus on a project and finish things.Today I worked a bit more on my pickles. I did cut one corner off of them (so far), here is how they look:I will do the same on the other gray corner, add more colored pieces. I am thinking it might end up kind of like a double wedding ring. I will post the instructions for this add-on to the pickle on my tutorial page. Happy August 1st!

Today is special in lots of ways.Especially, it marks one week of blogging for me! I cannot believe how many fun people have already visited and commented and have led me to new sites I hadn't see before. Thanks for the inspiration! Also,it is the first day of a new month, which for me means some quiet time at work (equals more sewing time). Tomorrow is my anniversary (nine years!) and hopefully we will get to have a date, which we haven't done in a while.Patrick is taking the boys to Colorado on Friday for a long weekend to visit...

So, I have been unofficially following lots of quilting blogs for quite awhile. I decided it was time to share my own inspiration and hopefully join some conversations!
