All week, I’ll share some of the many star quilts I’ve made over the years… It will be hard to choose, there are so many! There are several great star quilt patterns in the shop if you need to get going on your own all-star creation.
One of my all-time favorites is the six pointed star. I love how these also have hexagon in them! Eight points and four points are for sure the classics, especially in traditional quilting. But since they are more unique, six pointed star quilts seem a little extra special. I have two patterns, Magic (above) and Aurora that feature the six pointed star. Both look more complex than they actually are to sew, I promise these quilt patterns are great options for adding six pointed stars to your quilt collection.

I agree, I’ve never met a star quilt I didn’t like! I made a sawtooth star quilt that I love, and hand pieced/quilted a Broken Star quilt that was a 24 year WIP!😅
I do love a star quilt! How to pick a favorite? Right now I’m gathering fabrics for an Ohio Star quilt, so that’s my current favorite.

So many quilts I have made have a star element! I started learning to sew curves because I was tired of stars! LOL
Stars are so fun. I have made a few of them. One was to honor a tireless hero minister at a local hospital. She worked nonstop with many covid patients over the last year and a half.
I love star quilts! One of the first quilts I made was a six-pointed star made with 60º triangles cut from 2 1/2″ strips. It was such a fun technique I often think I should re-visit it! Thank you for the giveaway!
Stars are such a great element to base a quilt on..there are so many ways to use stars ito create great quilts!
I love the Ohio Star block and it was a part of my very first quilt! I started on this path by hand-piecing and hand quilting a king sized sampler quilt! It’s still together over 30 years later, but currently resting in a closet.
I definitely love star quilts. There is such a large variety of star blocks that I never get tired of making them. My favorite star quilt I made was a scrappy blue and white Irish Chain quilt with blue Variable Star blocks placed in the usual plain white squares. I made it for the tour guide I had on a vacation to Ireland (of course!).
Star quilts are some of my favorite. I love them all! The last few star quilts ive made were baby blankets for my neice and nephew. The Expanding Stars quilt by Quilty Love and Pulsar Quilt by Quilting Jet Girl. Stars are great for baby quilts and full size quilts!
Stars are the best quilts, I’ve never met one i didn’t love. They are great for baby quilts and full size quilts. The last star quilt I’ve made were based off the sawtooth star block. They were baby quilts for my niece and nephew. I thought starts were a fitting theme, as they will always be stars in my eyes. The patters were the Expanding Star Quilt by QuiltyLove and Pulsar by Quilting Jet Girl.

I have made several projects that included stars and I loved them all! My favorite ones were scrappy, wonky stars and showed off their bright colors and my bits of treasured fabrics!
