The Polka Dot Bikini quilt pattern was among the first produced here at Color Girl and has been a best seller for several years. With the new Tula Pink polka dots and stripes fabrics hitting the market earlier this year, I felt inspired to take another look at my signature quilt.
I am re-releasing the Polka Dot Bikini pattern in a new, improved format. I’ve revised some instructions for clarity and added more, better illustrations in full color. These updates make the pattern better and will ensure your success in making this masterpiece quilt. If you’ve purchased the quilt pattern in the past, you can log in to your Craftsy account or your account here on the website and find the new file. If you need help getting the new file, please email me.
If you’ve been tempted but never bought this fabulous pattern, now is the time to give it a go! No need to purchase extra templates or Classic Curves Ruler, the Polka Dot Bikini patterns comes with all three full size templates that you need.
This is a good quilt to play with interesting quilting. Those solid color spaces are a wide open canvas to show off your FMQ skills. My original Bikini quilt was quilted by Jenny Pedigo of Sew Kind of Wonderful. The mini version (above) was quilted by Darby Myers of Quilted Squid. These ladies are so crazy talented! I think the quilting adds so much to this quilt design.
I can’t wait to see what colors you choose for your own Polka Dot Bikini quilt…
