Tour of Makers: So Much Beauty!

I hope you enjoyed following the Art Gallery Fabrics Quilt Block Tour last week. It was fun seeing how all my friends interpreted an individual quilt block to make a variety of beautiful projects! If you are planning on making gifts for this holiday season, you will love the pillows, table runners and baby quilts…all quick, satisfying makes!

I want to share a few of the pretties here and say a big thank you to my friends for participating! I know that making my mini quilt (a gift for a special friend’s first grandchild) got me inspired to try more of the free tutorials from the Art Gallery Fabrics YouTube channel.

**Stocking above was made by Amy Friend. Visit During Quiet Time to read all about her project.

Handmade Table runner by Yvonne Fuchs with Art Gallery Fabrics

Runner By Yvonne Fuchs (Quilting JetGirl)

Yvonne used fabrics from the Nightfall collection by Maureen Cracknell to make her beautiful runner. Do you see how she fussy cut the cute rabbit print for the block centers? I have to say I could live with these colors in my life every day! Read more about this project and the link to the AGF tutorial for the block at Quilting JetGirl.

handmade pillows by Lady K Quilts with Art Gallery Fabrics

Pillows by Karen O’Connor of Lady K Quilts

Okay, how about these pillows by Karen!? She used prints from the recent Fusions fabrics collections to make Ohio Star blocks. Read more about Karen’s pillows and get the link to the free Ohio Star tutorial at Lady K Quilts.

Hoop Quilt by AnneMarie Chaney with Art Gallery Fabrics

Hoop Quilt by AnneMarie of GenXQuilters

Have you seen AnneMarie’s Hoop Quilts? She used prints from the new Pat Bravo collection Indie Folk to make the Morning Star block. I love all the hand stitched details on these little hoop quilts. Be sure and check out GenXQuilters for more details. She also offers the patterns to make your own hoop quilts in a variety of designs.

If you want to see more of the fantastic projects in the tour as well as meet some talented makers and their blogs, see This Post for all the links.

I am enjoying a bit of a break for Thanksgiving with my family. I hope my American friends had a happy one and those all around the world have much to be thankful for. Back to regular Color Girl fun soon.

Happy Sewing to all!

Sharon
