It’s a new week! And what do you think of the new look here at Color Girl? If you visited last weekend, you found the site under construction. I have the best person who does my web stuff, Sarah Bailey (SpunMonkey), and I am so excited with what she has done with the remodel! We worked together to make the new site as user friendly and beautiful as possible. I would love to hear what you think!
The next couple of weeks I am in the homestretch preparing for Quilt Market and my first time as an exhibitor. Quilt Market is a wholesale trade show for the sewing industry. Basically, I am going to show my patterns and try and get them in more of your local stores. One of my last samples to make is this little drunkards’ path quilt I hope to finish this week.
I am using the new Indah batiks from Hoffman Fabrics (Me & You batiks). I absolutely love the super saturated colors in these! For my “background” I have metallic prints, also from Hoffman. This collection is called Sparkle and Fade and comes in silver and gold on white and black backgrounds. I am making kits of this little quilt to give away in drawings in my booth at Market.
So, I have hinted a bit that I have something in the works that I am super excited about. I am going to tell you soon, but I need to put some finishing touches on the project. As you may have guessed, it has to do with curved piecing and quilts. Would you help me make this the best it can be? I have a short survey (four easy questions) and I would love your feedback.
Click Here to link to the survey (it’s anonymous). The more people take the time to answer my questions, the more help it will be to me.
Since I am high on the curved piecing theme, the next message to my email subscribers is all about curves. I am sending a really fun little project out to my list soon, so be sure and sign up. If you like curves or if you want to try them, this is a great opportunity. I am also including some of my tips for successful curves.
thank you for taking the time to take my little survey! I love having you as part of my project…and I can’t wait to show you more.
Have a great week,
