This month’s issue of Quilt Now Magazine features some beautiful quilts and other projects, including my Archer quilt and pattern. I made the Archer quilt last spring as part of the blog tour showing the new Etno fabric collection by Pat Bravo for Art Gallery Fabrics. Be sure and look at this post for all the details and pretty pictures.
Archer is a baby size quilt just right for a beginner quilter or if you are just experimenting with modern quilt designs. I love the unique shape that Archer incorporates…we don’t see too many quilting patterns using the equilateral triangle, and the options available for making your version unique are endless.
Another quilt I think is so great: Honeycomb, by Sharon Holland. This quilt also uses Art Gallery Fabrics. The collection is Sketchbook, designed by Sharon Holland. Sharon displayed this quilt at Market last spring and I think it is such a neat design! As hexagon quilts go, the pattern goes together easily with no set-in seams, and perfect use of negative space makes such a dynamic design!
Be sure and watch for issue 15 of Quilt Now at local bookstores and many online quilting specialty stores (I subscribe through Pink Castle Fabrics)

I love your quilt Sharon. It did a nice job showing off Pat’s prints and is such a nice graphic design. I also really love the name you gave it, that can be the hardest part of designing sometimes! Thanks for the shout out on Honeycomb, the two quilts look really good together ????
As usual, love your pattern…… So glad I subscribe to Quilt Now!
