I am a week into my University design courses and I am filled with feelings of excitement, but also a little overwhelmed! My classes are pretty demanding, more so than the art classes I took last semester…but from what we are talking about so far and the looks of the schedules, I am so excited by all that I am going to learn!
My sewing time is definitely going to be limited in the next few weeks, but I decided that I want to focus on working on finishing some quilts in progress. This week I got out the fabrics for my Talia quilt that started last winter with fabrics from my stash.
I think this is a pretty fun pattern because there is potential to mix it up and actually get three different quilts from the two blocks. The top picture shows how the blocks look as described in the pattern: alternating the stars and hourglasses. You could also just make one type of block and make them into a whole quilt set next to each other.
I designed this pattern for Hoffman Fabrics using their collection called Talia. You can download the pattern free, Here.
I am excited to get this one finished…I actually like it better than I remembered! The fabrics are so pretty, which only adds to the fun of making the easy blocks.
