Skopelos Fabric and Pattern Giveaway!

Last month I had the opportunity to sew with this beautiful new fabric collection by Katarina Roccella for Art Gallery Fabrics, Skopelos. For the blog tour to roll out the collection and give some inspiration for using the fabrics, I made a variation on my Jumping Jacks pattern. Read full post, Here.

In the original pattern, I used lots of scraps in bright primary colors with black and white as the secondary design.

For my quilt with the Skopelos fabric, you can see it looks completely different just by turning the blocks in a different orientation. This is a versatile pattern, offering a variety of design variations by rearranging the orientation of the blocks.

I added to the effect by setting the blocks on a diagonal across the quilt with negative space on either side. The blue took the place of the black in the original.

This week, I am sharing some of this beautiful fabric as well as the Jumping Jacks quilt pattern with one of you readers.  If you would like to add this pattern and beautiful fabrics (four fat quarters, 18″ x 22″) to your collection and maybe make your own Jumping Jacks quilt, leave a comment on this post. I will choose a winner next Sunday, June 14.

If you like, tell me your favorite quilt shop and where it is located (a physical shop, not a website).

Edit: the giveaway is now closed, the winner is Pam S. Thank you all for your comments and for following along with me.

Hi! I am so impressed with your pattern! You show how diverse it can be in the original black and white with multiple fabrics used for the jacks. Then, by putting it into a collection of fabrics and limiting the amount of jacks you have made an entirely different looking quilt! It’s really impressive and I would love to win this pattern and fabríc 🙂 i particularly appreciate that each of the fabrics are allowed to shine in the jacks. They aren’t all cut up and small and unrecognizable. I got into quilting because of my love for the fabríc, mainly, so I want to be able to appreciate it in my quilt. So, in short, I love your quilt, haha! My favorite quilt/fabríc store is Fabrics Plus in Anacortes, Washington. It’s always a treat to go to Anacortes and the visit to the fabríc store is like the cherry on top to my day!

My favorite quilt shop is Fibre Junction in Rouses Point NY and they specialize in reproductive fabrics as well as batiks, but I have loved this Skopelos line of fabric since I first saw it. Your Jumping Jacks pattern is spectacular and shown with this variation is absolutely perfect.
