Quilts: What’s New and Next

It’s a new week and a new month! Yesterday I told you about my “square” blocks for this month’s quilters’ book club, and the posts on my next four blocks are coming up this week. Today, I want to share some things happening here as well as what you might like from my sponsor, Canton Village Quilt Works.

What’s New?

Visit the Bloggers’ Quilt Festival for some beautiful quilt inspiration. Last week I posted about my entry, the Polka Dot Bikini Quilt. I also visited the other category pages on the festival website and saw so many wonderful quilts! Mine is in the small quilt category, and you can see all and vote by clicking here. While you are there, check out the other categories (you get to vote for three quilts). It is a fun way to find new bloggers with projects and inspiration for you.

If you like this quilt, you can find a kit of fabrics to buy Here, or just those fantastic polka dots, Here.

I am so excited that this week I am going to the Sewtopia retreat in Salt Lake City! Four days of sewing fun, visiting my mom, and not having to cook or brush anyone’s teeth except my own. I am packing up projects (I always take way too many thinking I will get so much done!) and finishing up the binding on my Challenge Quilt, Hula Girl. I will show that when I have it finished.

What’s Next?

Aviatrix Medallion quilt pattern

yep! the time has come at last. I have wrapped up some other obligations, and I finally get to start my Aviatrix Medallion Quilt when I get back from Sewtopia. If you love this pattern as much as I do, you can get a kit of fabrics from my sponsor, Canton Village Quilt works (buy it Here) or just get the pattern (Here) and make it with your stash!

I have been looking forward to this pattern for a while and so glad I am going to start. Leave a comment and tell me where to find you (blog/instagram, etc) if you have made this or are going to so I can see your version.
