Popping in with a quick Quilt in Progress show and tell! I have the first row of rings done for my Michael Miller fabrics and Sewtopia Challenge quilt. I am loving the scrappy look so far! If you are just tuning in, this is a second version of my Hula Girl quilt pattern, coming soon to my pattern shop.
The winner of my “low volume fabric” fall giveaway is Charlotte. Her comment was chosen by the random number generator (my 8-year-old son). Charlotte, I hope you enjoy the fabric. It was awesome to read the comments and find out where everyone is reading from: there were quilters from Africa, Sweden, Australia, U.K. and all over the U.S. and Canada, which I think is just so amazing!
I also asked what people are in the mood to sew right now, color-wise. Autumn is definitely a common theme and many mentioned they like the look of the low volume scrappy quilts. I saw someone post on Instagram recently that fall quilt market in Houston is only three weeks away. I always think it’s fun to see what new fabrics are coming. I wonder what will be the big color trends? Will there be a popular animal like last spring when everyone seemed to be featuring deer? From what I have seen in the peeks put out by fabric companies, Southwest inspired motifs seem to be popular.
Thanks for all your comments to enter the giveaway! I love hearing from readers and do my best to respond regularly (not on giveaways because there are too many), so don’t be shy about leaving me a comment when you visit.
Linking with Lee for WiP Wednesday! have a great week.
