Over the last couple of weeks, Letha Gunter has been working on her Twirling Fans quilt. How do I know? because every few days, I have gotten an email with her comments on each of the posts of Quilt-Along. Each one made me smile and it was fun writing back and forth about her sewing, and hear the excitement in her notes as she made progress. When she wrote me last week that she was finished with the top, I asked if she would let me show it here on the blog.
One of the things Letha says she likes best about her Twirling Fans quilt is the way the black looks as the arcs of the fans and the polka dot in the centers of the blocks. I really like all the scrappy fabrics she used and her pieced borders. She did a really great job!
I was really happy to hear Letha say she felt like making this quilt was an accomplishment, but that she wanted others to see that it could be made even by a relative beginner. It really means a lot as a pattern creator to get feedback from those who are using the patterns…especially seeing finished quilts!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful quilt, Letha!
