Winner, and an Accomplishment

I enjoyed each comment on my post last week about my sponsor, Canton Village Quilt Works, and I am so happy to announce that Cindy is the winner.
It sounds like others appreciate the same things that I do about Jackie’s blog and shop: she carries fabrics that few do (Kaffe, Aboriginals, and HUGE selection of kona solids). Someone mentioned that their favorite is the Steam Punk pattern by Jen Kingwell. That pattern has been on my to-do list, too.
Maybe I should move it up a notch!

And, an accomplishment?

Now, this isn’t anything big, but I am pretty proud to report that I made my little boy a pair of pj pants. I even got him to model them for me (complete with the weird little smile he always does in posed pics):
Remember when I posted about the Fresh Quilts magazine last week and said I wanted to try the little yoga pants? well, I did it. I took my boys to Joanne’s and each picked out a piece of flannel (there wasn’t any Star Wars theme print, but the pirates print is perfect for this guy).
I enlarged the pattern and went for it, and they are soooo much fun! he loves them, too. He is the prince of the “soft pants”, so was only too eager to try them out.
So, I have conquered Pj pants. Next on my non-quilty list? a bag.
See you soon, it’s almost time for a QAL post again,
