Rainbow Flying Geese MiniQuilt

fabricsandflowers.blogspot.com
I finally finished this little Quilt Top! The blocks were inspired by the pillow cover “flying rainbow” in the book PillowPop. If you haven’t checked out this book, I highly recommend it for your quilt book library.
As the name indicates, the patterns are for single “block” projects intended for pillows, but they are all really inspiring for other projects, too.
Once I made the four blocks, I tried out different ways to lay them out:

Even though I ended up sewing them together in my originally planned setting, I really like them set in rows, too. How cute would this be in a larger quilt?
The white fabric is Kona Snow, my go-to for white and the neutral/beige is a linen cotton blend in a natural linen color.
I am excited to quilt this little guy! maybe it will be a finish for next week,
Happy Weekend,
Sharon

  1. Beautiful! Thank you too for sharing what color you use for the ‘negative’ space. I too use Kona snow but it is always nice to know what other’s use and the name of the color.

I love your mini quilt. There are so many different possibilities from these flying geese. I like the one you chose. Hugs
