Taking it on the Road: Breckenridge

My family is in Breckenridge, Colorado for a few days visiting my in-laws. They rented a place up here to escape the heat in Phoenix.
The boys are having a blast with cousins, who also came to visit and with Grandma and Grandpa.

I sneaked my featherweight machine and sewing supplies into my carry on bag

and I am cutting hexagons! I figured there would be loads of family time just hanging in the townhouse and I might as well have a project. I really like these Happy Go Lucky fabrics by Bonnie and Camille. The colors are so pretty and happy! Cooking up an exciting new project.

how cute is this shop on Main Street? Magical Scraps carries a small inventory of quilting fabrics, but is mostly a gift shop of handmade and embellished items like bags, accessories and clothing. The woman working yesterday was making bibs that had been ordered for a girl with special needs….non-babyish cool, big-girl bibs.

Family Time: my oldest adores fishing! we walked to a nearby lake so he could put his line in for a while. It is so beautiful here! Loving the dry, crisp air, the sunshine and smell of the mountain air.

Hope you are having a great week, too.
