Last weekend, Cleo and I spent our spare time sewing up the flying geese border for Marcelle.

“Sewing is hard work” |
I have really enjoyed the comments on this project so far…it sounds like I may have convinced some of you to make one of these?
It has been a fun one to mix in with others. In July, I alternated between this and my blockbuster. Next, I am going to start on my Double Wedding ring for the NY modern quilt guild challenge. So we’ll go back and forth a bit in August again.

piecing detail…love those fabrics! |
If you are working on a Marcelle Medallion or a Double Wedding Ring quilt, be sure and let me know in the comments….I would love to see them if you are blogging or on flick’r.
I hope you have a sweet partner like Cleo for sewing with this weekend!

Aww, your Cleo is a cutie! And your Marcelle looks great, love that touch of orange.
Architextures are just great as backgrounds, aren’t they?
The Marcelle medalion is gorgeous. I have been working on Jenny from Elefantzs blogs new BOM it is mostly applique and embroidery .Called Shavvy Roses Home. finished the first installment today which is actually 2 blocks a month that you sew into a larger block…And started a hand embroidery halloween design.
Cleo definitely has wise color sense! Must get it from her mom :). Looking so beautiful and the orange is a great addition.
My sewing helper likes to keep her head on my foot, or at least touch me with her paw….LOL
