If you have not yet made a Marcelle Medallion quilt, I highly recommend it! They are so fun.
The finished top above was made by my mom. We set out to make them together, but she got way ahead of me, as you can see.
Here is mine so for, still a Work in Progress,
Mom’s quilt follows the pattern and is a small wall quilt or baby quilt size. I decided to make mine bigger by adding the triangles of fabric that set the center star on point and then also enlarging the first triangle border. Right now I am working on the flying geese border…
what makes this project fun is that you get to choose fabrics and piece a different design for each round of borders, like lots of little projects in one. And we all like to paw through our fabrics and choose colors, right?
get a load of the fantastic colors and fun fabrics included on this quilt! All from stash, anything goes!
keep smiling!
