Last weekend, my mom and I drove to Cincinnati for the International Quilt Festival show and I found a pattern for the adorable pillowcase dress. When I got home on Saturday, I sewed one up for my friend’s little girl…there she is wearing it above…. isn’t that so cute? My first foray into sewing clothing.
Along the way on our little road trip, we stopped at
in Waynesville, Ohio. This is a quilt shop in a tiny town with HUGE selection of great fabrics. They also have an online store. I scored a remnant of an architextures print.
In Cincinnati, we discovered a fabulous little store, Sewn Studio
This place was a heavenly haven of modern quilting fabrics. Someone there has the good business sense to have lots of fat quarters and one yard cuts in handy little rolls for easy impulse shopping. They also gave us a free fat quarter for every yard purchased. I am too embarrassed to tell how many free fat quarters I walked out of there with….
If ever in Southern Ohio, be sure and visit these great places.
Oh! and guess what? I ran into two ladies that I met at Quilt Camp in December! it was fun to chat with them.
Happy Weekend! are you loving the blooming trees? I want one of each in my yard.
