Travel log, plus shop hop

what a fantastic week! I have been missing for a few days from this blog because I went to visit my family in Salt Lake City. It was so great to sew and visit quilt shops and just BE with my mom and sister, Emily. (above, that’s me on the right)
The boys had fun going skiing with their dad. Even my younger brother, who had never skied before, went to the slopes and saw my little guys during their lesson.
They also had a BLAST helping my older brother repair Mom’s deck:

I am so blessed that my brothers, sister and I all care a lot for each other, enjoy getting together and have such a great time, along with our mom. No drama, just being happy together.

If you are in the Salt Lake City area, there are many quilt shops. There are three that I know of that are absolutely “can’t miss” in my opinion:

Elaine’s Quilt Block in Midvale
Material Girls in South Jordan
Quilters’ Haven in Bountiful

Mom, Em and I visited these together, along with Carlucci’s for lunch (a fabulous bakery downtown, don’t miss this, either, for sustenance while fabric shopping). I collected some goodies that aren’t available at shops around here.

Hope you also had a great week, Happy Easter!
