Treasure Map Quilt

So, I have been working hard to meet my goal of finishing a quilt this month: the one using my Mod Century bundle combined with the Essex linens and shot cottons. I am actually on target to finish two, since I am binding my jewel box quilt, too!

here are some blocks sewn, but not squared up. I finished trimming all 48 blocks today and hope to start  putting them together tomorrow. I am calling it treasure map in honor of the little pirate in my life.

kind of funny: we found a show on Smithsonian channel this afternoon about the history of swords (of all things!). He was ecstatic and of course had to find his sword(s) to hold while he watched the show. He was thrilled to see the knights, the blacksmiths, the sword fighting….Oh, to be four years old with so much passion!

Hope you have some creative passion going on! I know I do. It’s all I can do to actually go to work each day instead of sewing.

ps. if you haven’t seen it already, check out this quilt on Crazy Mom Quilts. love.
