Pink and Orange: Palette Play

I am taking a break from my bikini quilt while I decide how to border it. I have to start getting ready for the classes I am teaching starting in October. Hopefully enough people will sign up so that they actually take place!

One of the quilts is a sampler called “Color my World” by Project House 360 Patterns. I didn’t make the shop sample, so I am starting from scratch…

these are the fabrics I picked out. The picture makes them all look a bit yellowish, but it’s pink, orange and blue and green, all in popsicle-like shades. They are sooooo pretty and totally not like me! I wanted to do something different and fresh and light.
I love how the pink and orange are so perky together and the pale greens and blues make it soft at the same time.
Here is how the first block is coming together:

Look how festive Cleo looks in her new skull-and-crossbones collar:

Enjoy the rest of the week.
Don’t forget to send your links/pictures of foundation-pieced projects for the Member’s Gallery.

Alert! Snoodles is having a giveaway this week…Delicious pink and grey fabric pack. Don’t enter, because I want to win (just kidding)
