Last weekend when I took my machine to Quilt Beginnings for repair, again, I remembered to take some pictures of my quilts on display! The one above is from the book “scrap republic” by Emily Cier, which is a great book. This quilt is called “Pivot”, the version made with yardage. The cool thing about this book is that Emily gives instructions for making the projects with scraps and also with yardage and the results are completely different! I made this with a couple of fat quarter bundles of a recent line by Malka Dubrowsky. (my friend, Cathy, who owns Q.B., gave me the f.q. bundles, my first free fabric, and let me choose any project to make up)
Here is my Merry-Go-‘Round quilt hanging above some bolts at the shop. I am teaching this for a class in October for ladies who are members of the Nationwide (the insurance co. is based here) employees quilt group. I am super excited because there are already lots of people signed up!
This is one my favorite quilts. I love the bright cheerful colors and fabric prints. That checker border fabric (fabulous, isn’t it?) is from a collection by piece ‘o cake some years ago. I have some in other color ways too.
Hope these happy colors brighten your day!
Now, I have a sliver of time to sew before picking up the boys (I left work early, don’t tell).
