I have a lot of boys in my house…the only female alliances I have are Cleo the pup and Lukie the lizard. (We also have a toad, gender unknown)
When my boys got old enough to move out of their cribs into big boy beds, they each got a quilt.
Hudson’s is the blue and yellow bento box on my sidebar that links to my tutorial page. He chose a farmyard print for the backing. He was obsessed with farms when he was around 2.
this is Coulson’s, which I finished last spring.
He chose a train print for the backing. When he was two, he liked Thomas the Train. His first big boy underwear had Thomas and Friends on them. For a long time during and after potty training, he called his underwear Choo–choos.
AND, drum roll, please,
I have finished writing and checking the pattern, and it has been added to my pattern shop! I am calling it Frogs and Snails.
I am up to a whole two items in my shop!
I think it would also be super cute made for a girl with pink and green, or scrappy like my friend Susie made for her grandson:
and now for the giveaway part.
Like I said, Hudson loves animals. He is always surprising us with his extensive knowledge of the animal world, and he did it again yesterday.
We are going to play, “are you smarter than my first-grader?” (don’t worry, I’ll go easy on you this time)
Yesterday we went to the zoo. Hudson went up to one exhibit and said, “that looks like a hellbender”
The first person who leaves a comment who can tell me what kind of animal a hellbender is, wins a copy of “Frogs and Snails” pattern. Honor system, no looking it up, be honest.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
