AvantGarde Fabrics: Simply Gorgeous!

It is my turn to show off Katarina Roccella's latest fabric collection for Art Gallery Fabrics and I am so excited to share my quilt! I have loved every collection Katarina has designed, but I really think AvantGarde is my favorite yet. The colors are absolutely delightful: bright and deep jewel tones mixed with black and white. The prints and colors also mix well with her previous collections, especially Imprint (2015) and Indelible (2014). “Pop”ping in with a New Quilt!

I am so happy to finally share this finished quilt, called "Pops", named by my lovely mother. This was the main project I worked on last summer at Camp Stitchalot, the fabulous Michigan retreat hosted by Brenda of Pink Castle Fabrics. I got this wild idea to piece hexagons to show off my favorite fabric stash prints, and to add tiny triangles, so that when the hexagons meet you get the effect of small "popping" hexagons in bright colors.
