Good Evening, it is February 20th, and that means it's time to check our progress on the Polka Dot Bikini Quilt Along. Our goal for today is to have 16 of the center blocks done, how did you do? I can't take credit for sewing them, though. My mom asked me if I would like her to make a version with one of my variation ideas, so I got her started on this….and she took off! at this stage your blocks should be 10 1/2" square (with the little corners missing on two sides) I have seen a little bit of rumbling on Instagram...

Bikini QAL: a pattern tip

Here today with a good tip for those making the Polka Dot Bikini Quilt with me. I want to share a pointer on cutting the arcs that form the "sashing" around the pod shape. Curved Piecing Tutorial; plus help with steps 13-14

I had a request from the audience to publish a tutorial on curved piecing to go along with the Polka Dot Bikini pattern. I plan to do lots of tutorials related to skills, along with tips and ideas for my patterns, so I thought this made a perfect place to start. **Important note: when you print your templates for the Polka Dot Bikini, make sure they print at actual size. Check your settings to make sure the printer isn't resizing "to fit". The straight sides of the template A should measure 9 1/2" and the template B should be...
