If you have been reading this space for long, you know I am super fan girl for designer Katarina Roccella's fabrics. Here latest collection for Art Gallery Fabrics, Blithe, is just so perfect right now...wintry soft colors and pretty prints in frosty blues, dark plum, cream and gray, plus a touch of pink and gold.
I feel very lucky to be included in a blog tour showcasing these beautiful fabrics. You can find links to other makers and lots of inspiring projects on Katarina's website, Here.
For my Blithe quilt, I chose to make a baby size from my Dutch Windmill pattern. I...
I finally finished my baby Dutch Windmill quilt...this has been a work in progress (or, more accurately, a finished top needing quilting) for many months. I pieced it last November at the Sewtopia quilt retreat and had planned to quilt it myself, but recently I have really been trying to get some of my "in progress" quilts into the "finished" column, so I decided to send it to Darby to get quilted.

Happy Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day! I am teaming up with Jane, owner of Quilter's Way quilt shop, to bring you a very beautiful bundle of fabrics and a quilting pattern to go with it.
Quilter's Way carries quilting fabrics, both paper and pdf download patterns, fabric bundles, and kits. Check out the Christmas fabric kit that goes with my "Jewel Box" Quilt pattern, Here.

First the basics: the pattern comes with fabric requirements and sewing instructions to make three sizes. The blocks are very easy and quick to make...perfect for a confident beginner. The baby size can be made in a day.
This design can be made using 5" pre-cut charm squares, larger pre-cuts like fat eights and fat quarters. My version was quilted with an interlocking geometric "bubble" design all over, by my favorite local...
I am so happy to share a finished quilt! I designed this patchwork pattern almost a year ago and my mom helped me start piecing it, but as is often the case, other projects kept getting put ahead of this one.
I finally finished up the top last spring and it sat while I had lofty ambitions of quilting it myself...then when I started working regularly again in June, I gave myself permission to have it long-arm quilted. This is one of those projects that I think looks so fantastic with the quilting added. My friend Jane did an all-over...
