There is a brand new issue of Modern Quilts Unlimited Magazine out. I am so proud that my Hexagon Star quilt is featured inside!
Hexi Stars is lap size quilt, and, although the design looks like hexagons, there are no set-in seams, so it is a no-fuss make. This quilt was especially fun to make because I used all fabrics in my stash: mostly favorites from Alison Glass and Tula Pink. I love the mix of bright colors with black and white for the stars. The magazine includes the templates and instructions needed to piece the quilt.
As always, I used...
Introducing Four Patch Petals. This is my version of springtime in quilt form. (-: You can make one, too! Petals is featured in the summer issue of Quilts and More magazine, just hitting newsstands this week.
The timing is so perfect on this because I am on a full on curved piecing kick right now. I have a new collection of curved piecing quilt patterns coming this summer, along with other exciting news. If you haven't tried curves yet, Petals is the perfect starting project! With an easy curve and alternating straight pieced four patch blocks, it goes together quickly.
One of my goals since I started publishing quilt patterns in magazines was to have one featured in American Patchwork and Quilting. This month, that dream came true in a big way! Not only is my Wavelength quilt pattern inside, the quilt I made is on the cover! yea!
I am especially excited because I really love this quilt...I enjoyed every minute of making it because it is so "me". Why? just look at all the fun fabrics!
One of my favorite ways to choose fabrics for a quilt is to create a very limited color palette, but use tons of...
I know I say this every time, but I SUPER happy to finally share this little quilt with you! Color Story is featured this month in Love Patchwork and Quilting magazine. This issue is on newsstands now in the U.K. and will be here in the U.S. in 3-4 weeks. Be sure and watch out for it...always a pretty publication.
Color Story is a wall hanging size or baby quilt. I truly enjoyed making this one...from the design to the fabric and sewing. Fabrics are from one of my "collections" (bins of fabrics waiting for just the right project), including...
All new! Links is my latest quilt pattern featured in Quilters Companion magazine. This fun and easy quilt is ideal for showcasing your favorite colors. Quilters Companion is not widely available outside of Australia, but you can get this issue digitally at Magzter.
One of the reasons I am proud to be a contributor to Quilters Companion is the high quality of projects in each issue. My Links quilt is a great beginner level quilt and quick to make, but there are also a great variety of projects at more advanced skill levels. This makes it a worthy look for...
So happy to share a new quilt! This is Vivid Grid, appearing in the brand new issue of Quilts and More magazine.
Sometimes it seems like forever between the time I make a quilt for a magazine and when I finally get to show you. It can be so hard to wait! As you can see from the photos, I made this quilt last summer...and I am so excited about it. It is a fabulous quilt for scraps, so the timing of the release is perfect for all of those determined to sew scraps and stash this New Year.
It seems I have waited a long time to share this quilt! I am extra happy that it is my first quilt in the UK magazine, Love Patchwork and Quilting issue 42. The magazine is now available in the UK and digitally, and we will have it in the U.S. in January.
I am calling this quilt Lava Beach because I made it last summer right after my family and I had a trip to the Big Island of Hawaii. One of our favorite spots on that island is a black lava sand beach where the kids play in the...
So happy to finally share my latest quilt design! I made this quilt almost a year ago and this month it is featured in Quilters' Companion magazine. Quilters' Companion is in Australia, so it's a bit tricky to find elsewhere. If you are interested in the pattern for this quilt, you can get a digital magazine on Magzter.

Sunday Best (*edited: the pattern is now available to download here on this site, called Daisy, get it Here) is my colorful version of the classic dresden plate. I started with fabric from the Zen Chic collection,...
I have exciting news! My newest quilt design is featured this month in Quilts and More Magazine. The quilt is called Spin Art and is even on the cover of the magazine! I hope you look for it at your local bookstore and quilt shop.
Spin Art was made with the new Zen Chic fabric collection, Flow, (Moda, 2016) and let me tell you, these fabrics are wonderful! The colors are beautiful and pair perfectly with Zen Chic's last collection, For You. The Flow prints are basics, making them easy to add to any quilt design. I really like them...
Issue 20 of Quilt Now Magazine has arrived, and I am so happy to finally share a quilt that I designed and is featured inside. Fly Over is a scrappy star quilt with a twist! Perfect for scraps and stash.
I made Fly Over during a rather long period between fall 2014 and spring 2015...it was one of those that I worked on a bit here and there between other projects, and loved every minute of choosing fabrics and sewing it. My color and print inspiration started with the two Art Gallery Fabrics collections Winged and Indelible (2014) and then...
