I have a new quilting pattern that you are going to love! Fly Over is a design with so much movement and interest…and it’s much easier to make than it looks. The pattern is now available to download in my pattern shop.
My original Fly Over quilt was featured in Quilt Now Magazine a couple of months ago. I made this one with lots of scraps and a variety of prints in the tessellating star pattern. You can see how the quilt can be a great way to show off your favorite prints or use up lots of scraps!
When my mom was here visiting in February, she and I worked on the pattern sample together. It truly is a sample of my favorites, using prints from my Tula Pink and Alison Glass stash as well scraps from previous projects. I love the bright colors that pop.
My sample was quilted by Darby at Quilted Squid, with Hobbs batting. I use Aurifil thread for all my piecing, it’s the best (IMHO) (-:
I hope you make Fly Over! Be sure and share on Instagram (@colorgirlquilts #colorgirlquilts) or on Facebook (color girl quilts)
disclosure: Hobbs Batting and Aurifil thread provide supplies for my quilting projects. My opinions are my own, however, and I would not recommend a product I didn’t use and love.
