A Finished “Bikini” and Polka Dot Giveaway

I am so thrilled that my mom came to town to visit and we are going to Camp Stitchalot next week in Michigan! She also has her finished Polka Dot Bikini Quilt to show. I have mentioned this quilt before during our Quilt Along. She made a variation on the pattern by splitting the backgrounds into black and white. It creates such a neat, three dimensional design.
The fabrics are all from her stash, she collects black and white prints and loves to pair them with bright colors. The binding is a funky print by Lakehouse fabrics with cupcakes printed on it!
I cannot believe she let me take this picture of her, but she did, and I think it’s great for readers to finally  “meet” my very talented mother. I love to share some of her projects here and we love spending time sewing together.
If you like the style of this version of the Polka Dot Bikini Quilt, my sponsor Canton Village Quilt Works, has this great black and white bundle for sale Here:
B & W fat quarter bundle by Canton Village Quilt Works
And what else? Jackie, the owner of Canton Village is also sponsoring a giveaway this weekend of a big bundle of the Kaffe Fassett Spots fabric that I used in my original quilt!
Be sure and visit her blog (click Here) for details and the links.
I absolutely love these spot fabrics!
Have a “colorful” weekend!
