Polka Dot Bikini: A New Pattern Now Available

After lots of work (not really “work” because I love it!), this quilt and the pattern are finally finished!
You can download the patten immediately from my Craftsy shop. Keep reading…you might win one, too!
**A kit is now available from Canton Village Quilt Works containing the fabrics needed to make a quilt similar to mine**
Readers of this blog have been incredibly enthusiastic and supportive as I have worked on this project, and that has been such a great motivation for me. I really do love this pattern! Are you wondering why I call it “Polka Dot Bikini”?
When I made the first blocks over a year ago, my sister, Emily (many of you know her as Em of mcelebrates.blogspot.com)
pointed out that they look like the bottoms of a bikini (you know, a brief with leg holes?) and that just stuck. It has been my “bikini” quilt ever since.

The pattern is for the quilt as shown, measuring 63 1/2″ square. I plan to use mine as a wall hanging, but it would be a fun baby quilt or throw (how about with low volume prints and colored rings?)
The good news? it is so much easier than it looks (don’t tell!). It looks similar to a classic double wedding ring, but there are no set-in seams, no unruly bias arcs, no foundation (paper) piecing. If you can sew curves, you can make this. Even if you haven’t sewn curves, but want to try, the pattern has full instructions and diagrams.

I am going to give away a copy of the  pattern to two readers this week. Leave me a comment on this post. I would like to know: how did you find this blog?
if you share the post (Facebook, blog, Instagram, etc) you can get an extra entry, just leave a second comment containing the link to your share.
If  you are visiting from Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day, Welcome! You get to join our celebration.
Have a great week,
Sharon
edit: the giveaway has closed, thank you all for such kind comments! if you are interested in the pattern, it is available on Craftsy (see colorgirlquilts.com)
